I am Mukesh Reddy from hyderabad currently working in TCS as system engineer,
i am planning to go USA for my masters degree, for this i need to face a visa interview in may at that time i need to provide them source of income or ITR.
since my father is farmer and we hold 25 acres of land and we get annual income of 15 lakhs and above from agriculture products that we produced,
as per indian tax system there is no tax for agricultural income so my father didn't file that amount in ITR so now can i show to visa officer that we has income source and how can i provide documentation for this as a proof.
Sincere Regards,
Mukesh Reddy
For providing proof of income, one's income-tax return is the best document. Unfortunately, you have not got this important document. Even if you have exempt income, it is always advisable to file the return. This would be useful even when you apply for a loan in future.

You have said that you are an engineer working with TCS. Therefore, obviously, you will be getting salary income. If that salary is more than the threshold limit of Rs250,000, you ought to have filed your income-tax return. It is mandatory to do so. Therefore, you should file your IT return for FY2016-17 & 2017-18 immediately and then submit those as proofs for the Visa.
