I was subscriber to LIC Jeevan Suraksha policy which has since been matured. I commuted 25% of the policy matured amount on its maturity and the balance shall be given to me as pension on quarterly basis for a period of 15 years or till I am alive whichever is earlier. My Query------
Whether pension from LIC Jeevan Suraksha policy is subject to income tax ?  Personal Income Tax
Annuity received from LIC under the Jeevan Suraksha policy partakes the character of income and will be taxable. You will have to offer it as income from other sources in your ITR.

I am a senior citizen retired from a company in 2016. I would like to know whether the interest earned on my EPF account is taxable after my retirement. In one of the article I remember that interest up to 9.5% is not taxable. Also in one of the recent news item, it is mentioned that interest on EPF is not taxable for those above 58 years.
