I am unable to repay credit card bill of icici bank due to the Bankruptcy. It was more than 4 month ago since I paid,I have wrote complaint/letter to RBI ombudsman cms and Bank BO both but did not got any positive response from there. Now what should I do? And where I should write for any relief as well as harassment compensation? How to write for settlement?
It is really sad to know that you are not in a position to pay your credit card dues to ICICI Bank due to bankruptcy. In your case RBI Ombudsman does not come into picture. You have to sort out the matter with the bank only. I presume from your query that some order related to bankruptcy has been passed against you, the details of which are not known to me. If the order mentions anything about the credit card dues, you have to act accordingly. If it is something else than bankruptcy, ICICI bank may offer one-time settlement. However, it must be in writing from their side and note well that such a settlement would spoil your credit score. I request you to specifically write to Moneylife what exactly is the matter.
