Non-banking financial company Shriram Transport Finance Ltd said its net profit jumped 44.1% to Rs299 crore for the second quarter ended 30 September 2010 from Rs207.5 crore a year ago.
During the second quarter, its total revenues increased 22.7% to Rs1,305.8 crore from Rs1,064 crore, same quarter last year.
The company declared an interim dividend of Rs2.50 per share.
On Thursday, Shriram Transport Finance shares gained 4% to Rs809 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex closed 1.1% down at 20,005 points.
