SEBI Warns 4 Unregistered Entities on Providing Illegal Investment Advisory
Moneylife Digital Team 22 February 2024
Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has issued warning letters to four entities offering illegal investment advisory to investors. Entities that SEBI had warned in February are EHGTips/Earn in Hidden Gems (proprietor Manik Katyal) from Ambala, Haryana, Intracapitals.com (proprietor Rishabh Singh) from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and Dream Recearch Services (proprietor - Deepak Chouhan) and Arvind Parihar from Dewas and Indore, respectively from Madhya Pradesh and SNT Consultants (proprietor Garima Gupta) from Palwal in Haryana.

In separate orders, SEBI says it notices that these entities are involved in providing investment advisory-related services in the securities market through their websites without obtaining registration as investment advisors. "The unregistered activity is in violation of various provisions and sections of SEBI Act, SEBI Regulations, Rules and circulars made thereunder."

"The unregistered investment advisory activity has been viewed very seriously, and you are warned to be careful in future and not indulge in any kind of unregistered securities market-related activity, failing which action will be initiated (against you) in accordance with provisions of SEBI Act," the market regulator says.

Three of the warnings issued to Mr Singh of Intracapitals.com, Mr Katyal of EHGTips and Ms Gupta from SNT Consultants have been issued by the division of investor complaints from SEBI's northern regional office. The notice to Mr Chauhan of Dream Recearch Services and Mr Parihar is given by SEBI's Indore local office.
