Cholesterol Guidelines

The subtle efforts of the sugar lobby in the 1950s to show fat in bad light, vis-à-vis sugar, as the main factor behind the killer disease of vessels blocks were eventually found out and the world was disabused of the false myth about fat, by the American Diet Guidelines. It is now known that fat and cholesterol are not the demons that they were made out to be; they are vital parts of human nutrition, as every cell in the human body must have a strong cell embrace for healthy living. The cell membrane is cholesterol.

Body cholesterol is made by our own liver; a paltry 10% comes from food. The 1972 thinker-professor of nutrition at the London University, John Yudkin, wrote Pure, White, and Deadly about the dangers of sugar. Yudkin, discredited by the sugar lobby, left teaching and retired. His book has now been republished. Thank God for that! Interestingly, the recent statin recommendation committee of the American cardiology group still recommends statins for some sub-groups. An investigation about the team members revealed that most of them were (are) on the statin manufacturing company’s rolls! This is the truth about most Western guidelines for medical management.

Lavish Medical Conferences

Iwas in Delhi to deliver a keynote address at a critical-care meet organised by the GB Pant Hospital, department of critical-care medicine. It was at the India Habitat Centre on a low budget. Interestingly, I did not see a single drug company banner. The volunteers only came to fetch me from the India International Centre. The talks were good and, all in all, it was a good effort to educate the audience from many parts of India, without a vulgar display of hospitality. Interestingly, I saw another intensive-care meeting at the Leela Palace, a 7-star facility, with the speakers staying there. Posters and drugs were on display all over. The budget must have run into crores of rupees. Another lavish programme was going on at the Habitat Centre. If there could three such conferences, in one city, on one day, imagine the total money spent on those all over India. Imagine, for a minute, where all this money comes from? Mark my words, when I say that every sick person is paying for those meetings. The drug and device prices go up partially due to such lavish hospitality.

Cancer Immune Therapy

The Food and Drug Administration, USA has approved an immunotherapy drug, called Keytruda, which stimulates the body’s immune system, for the first-line treatment of patients with metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer. In other words, the drug could be the very first treatment a patient receives for the disease, instead of chemotherapy. Keytruda is the only immunotherapy drug approved for first-line treatment for these patients.

For decades, I have been writing that our own immune system can cure cancer. This could be done by the various immune boosters in Ayurveda which were in existence for eons! Who bothers? Now that America says this, our ‘great’ Indian medical players will embrace this idea. President Jimmy Carter (of the USA) announced that he is cancer-free now, thanks to immune boosting with this new drug. There are Indian research groups that have put together methods to even treat heart attacks with immune boosting. Logically, our immune system is the in-built healer inside the human body.

Humankind has existed for 900,000 years, in 50,000 generations, without any chemical drugs of the Western medical system. Cancers are not new either. So, logically, if surgery, chemotherapy and radiation were the only life-savers from cancer, as the rich cancer industry claims, humankind should have been extinct long before the dinosaurs! Now, the new quantum healing could help your own consciousness to heal your cancer. I have faith in that. Let us try.
