Nifty, Sensex Rallying on Hopes of Gulf War Resolution: Tuesday Market Report

On Tuesday, 2671 stocks advanced, 1555 declined and 158 remained unchanged on Bombay Stock Exchange with advance decline ratio of 1.25 indicating a positive closing. Reports from Iranian media claim explosions hit Kharg Island, allegedly in an Israeli strike, hours before Trump’s Strait of Hormuz deadline. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned it will target U.S. and allies’ infrastructure, threatening long‑term disruption of regional oil and gas supplies. On NSE, 25 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 22 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows. Nifty IT, Nifty Metal and Nifty India Defence were among the biggest gainers. Nifty PSU Bank was the only loser.
 
Refex Industries (+0.07%) secured a ₹70.2 crore order from a Navratna PSU in the steel sector for supply of bulk industrial commodities. The contract, to be executed in two months, is a domestic engagement with no related party involvement.
 
Airtel (+2.09%) expanded its 5G footprint in UP East, deploying 4,300+ new sites over the past year. The rollout spans 48 districts, reaching 34 million people across cities, towns, and rural areas. Key hubs like Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, and Jhansi now benefit from enhanced high speed connectivity.
 
Bank of Baroda’s (-0.64%) outstanding bonds as of 31 March 2026 include: ₹500 crore issue (11 Sep 2019 – 11 Sep 2034), coupon 7.75%, annual, with call option.  ₹2,000 crore issue (15 Jan 2020 – 15 Jan 2035), coupon 7.84%, annual.  Perpetual bond (26 Nov 2021), coupon 7.95%, outstanding ₹1,997 crore.  Perpetual bond (31 Jan 2022), coupon 8.00%, outstanding ₹752 crore.  Perpetual bond (2 Sep 2022), coupon 7.88%, outstanding ₹2,474 crore.
 
Alkem Laboratories (-1.22%) launched A to Z Daily, a multivitamin supplement designed for comprehensive body and mind support. It combines 26 essential vitamins and minerals (Vitamin B complex, D3, C, Zinc, Iron) with clinically researched botanicals like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Panax ginseng, and L theanine. Sona BLW Precision Forgings (+1.13) achieved major milestones with 500 million differential gears and 10 million assemblies produced since inception. The company, serving BEVs, passenger, commercial, and off highway vehicles, began production at Gurugram (1999) and Pune (2005). Its accelerated output — the last 100 million gears in just two years.
 
PDS Limited (+0.26%) entered into a Sourcing as a Service (SaaS) contract with a major US value retailer, expected to drive ₹450 crore in sourcing volumes. The partnership leverages PDS’s global vendor network and compliance expertise, strengthening supply chain execution. This deal expands PDS’s footprint in the US retail market, aligning with its strategy to scale fashion infrastructure services globally.
 
Deep Industries (+6.83%) secured a ₹59 crore Letter of Award from ONGC for services at the Malleswaram site (Rajamundry Asset). The three year contract covers natural gas compression, gas dehydration, and hydrocarbon dew point depression, critical for efficient gas processing.
