On NSE, 33 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 34 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows. In sectoral indices, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Auto and Nifty IT were among the biggest losers. Nifty Media, Nifty Metal and Nifty Energy were among the biggest gainers.
JSW Energy (+5.13%) secured an order from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution company limited (WBSEDCL). The scope of work includes development and operation of 1600 MW greenfield ultra super critical domestic coal based thermal power plant (TPP).
RMC Switchgears (+2.65%) received a work order of Rs108.05 crore from the private contractor for development of distribution infrastructure work for 11 KV UG Cable, & RMU System in some districts of Gujarat State.
Datamatics Global Services (+9.69%) secured an order for design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and integration of automatic fare collection (AFC) system for 23 stations of Pune Metro Line 3 in Maharashtra, India. Datamatics will be responsible for deploying AFC system for 23 stations between Hinjewadi and Civil Court (Shivaji Nagar) in Pune across a fully elevated route length of around 23 km.
Indo Count Industries (ICIL) (+2.61%) wholly owned subsidiary -- Indo Count Global, Inc. incorporated wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) in the name of Indo Count Global East, Inc. in the State of Delaware, USA. The said WOS has been incorporated to carry on the business of utility bedding products.
Caplin Point Laboratories (+4.37%) subsidiary -- Caplin Steriles has been granted final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) Procainamide Hydrochloride Injection USP, 1g/10mL and 1g/2mL Vials, a generic therapeutic equivalent version of the reference listed drug (RLD) PRONESTYL, from Apothecon Inc.
Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (+0.67%) commenced the commercial production of its Nano Urea plant and new AN Melt plant with a production capacity of 75 KL per day and 425 MTPD, respectively, at its Trombay Unit.
Rathi Steel & Power (+0.40%) was granted license by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to use the BIS standards mark on SS 550 reinforcement bars under the title of ‘high strength deformed stainless steel bars and wires for concrete reinforcement’ in relation to 32 mm diameter.
JTL Industries (+2.63%) received a significant order to supply 3,000 metric tonnes of galvanized iron (GI) pipes of assorted sizes. The order valued at Rs24 crore, has been placed by the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department, Jammu, as part of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The delivery is scheduled to be completed within the next 30 days.
Alkem Laboratories (+0.24%) launched Kojiglo serum in India used in managing facial hyperpigmentation and also suitable for all skin types making Alkem, the first Indian company to introduce a liposomal serum with duo-lipo technology.

Torrent Power (-1.42%) reported 30.79% rise in its net profit at Rs489.33 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2024 as compared to Rs374.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 3.92% at Rs6671.25 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs6419.65 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
Apollo Micro Systems (-0.23%) reported 83.13% rise in its net profit at Rs18.24 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2024 as compared to Rs9.96 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 62.64% at Rs149.37 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs91.84 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
Whirlpool of India (-1.78%) reported 48.78% rise in its net profit at Rs44.53 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2024 as compared to Rs29.93 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 11.72% at Rs1755.36 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs1571.17 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
Azad Engineering (-0.76%) reported 41.11% rise in its net profit at Rs23.72 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2024 as compared to Rs16.81 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 16.62% at Rs125.56 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs107.67 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
Titan Company (-2.97%) reported marginal decline of 0.57% in its net profit at Rs1047 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2024 as compared to Rs1053 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 24.95% at Rs17868 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs14300 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
