Nifty, Sensex Looking Tired - Wednesday Closing Report

On Wednesday, 1673 stocks advanced, 1796 declined and 133 remained unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), with an advance decline ratio of 0.93, indicating a negative closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Wednesday’s trading is given in the table below:
 
 
On NSE, 66 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 10 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows. 
 
In sectoral indices, Nifty Meta, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Infrastructure were among the biggest losers. Nifty Pharma, Nifty Media and Nifty FMCG were among the biggest gainers. 
 
Suzlon Energy (+6.35%) bagged order for 100 wind turbines from Torrent Power.
 
Bajaj Finance (+0.08%) issued NCDs worth Rs1670 crore.
 
Mishtann Foods (+8.73%) will introduces new products, aims to increase presence in Africa.
 
Deepak Nitrite (+9.49%) arm Deepak Chem Tech signed MoU with Gujarat government to invest Rs5,000 crore to set up projects to manufacture speciality chemicals, Phenol, & Bisphenol.
 
Affle India’s (+1.82%) subsidiary will acquire YouAppi for $45 million. YouAppi is a performance-linked mobile marketing platform.
 
Genus Power (-1.32%) said order book at end of 31st March 2023 stood at Rs1,696 Crore  
 
Uber India’s fleet partnered to deploy 25,000 EVs over 2 years, to launch EV Uber Green in June.
 
HG Infra received order worth Rs42 crore from NTPC.
 
Varun Beverages (+3.79%) incorporated wholly-owned subsidiary in South Africa.
 
Wockhardt (+0.62%) received settlement order from SEBI for show cause notice issued in September last year.
 
Allcargo Logistics (-0.71%) contradicted reports of talks with Delhivery to acquire Gati
 
In large trades, Mahindra CIE (+4.74%) 3.2% equity change hands at an average price of Rs560 per share. Crompton Greaves (+3.80%)  1% equity change hands at an average price of Rs270 per share. 
 
Results Update: 
 
Cummins India (-5.31%): Net Sales was Rs1,926  crore in Q4FY23 up 29% YoY (Rs1,494 crore). Net Profit was Rs318 crore in Q4FY23 up 68% YoY (Rs189 crore).
 
Wonderla Holiday (+1.32%): Net Sales was Rs98.6 crore in Q4FY23 up 70% YoY (Rs58.1 crore). Net Profit was Rs35 crore in Q4FY23 up 312% YoY (Rs8.51 crore).
 
Fortis Health (-0.26%): Net Sales was Rs1,643  crore in Q4FY23 up 19% YoY (Rs1,378 crore). Net Profit was Rs138 crore in Q4FY23 up 84% YoY (Rs87 crore).
