Nifty, Sensex Fall Again in the Absence of Bullish Triggers: Thursday Closing Report

On Thursday 2225 advanced, 1716 declined and 108 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio 1.30 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The trend of the major indices on Thursday’s trading is given in the table below. 
 
 
On NSE,  securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 61 securities 18 sank to close at their new 52-week lows. In sectoral indices, Nifty IT, Nifty Auto and Nifty Infrastructure were among the biggest losers. Nifty PSU Bank and  Nifty Media were among the biggest gainers.
 
Emami Realty (+4.99%) announced development plan with a mix of residential and commercial projects, targeting a revenue potential of Rs 15,000 crore. It had outlined a total estimated investment of Rs10,000 crore for its upcoming projects, including residential projects worth Rs9,000 crore and commercial projects worth the remaining Rs1,000 crore.
 
Ashoka Buildcon (+1.83%) bagged a Rs192.69 crore project from Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited in Jabalpur for engineering, procurement, and construction work. 
 
BEML (+1.91%) secured a contract worth Rs3,658 crore from Chennai metro for design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning and comprehensive maintenance contract for 15 years of standard gauge metro rolling stock and depot machinery and plant.
 
KEC International (+2.93%) secured turnkey orders of Rs1,704 crore in its transmission & distribution business for design, supply and installation of 765 kV transmission lines and substations from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL).
 
Vietjet Thailand, a subsidiary of the Vietjet group, has selected AirGain, RateGain Travel Technologies (RateGain) (+0.26%) pricing solution for airlines, to gain real-time competitive insights.
