Nifty, Sensex Continue to Struggle to Head Higher: Tuesday Closing Report

On Tuesday, 2461 stocks advanced, 1402 declined and 106 remained unchanged, on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with an advance decline ratio of 1.75, indicating positive closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Tuesday’s trading is given in the table below.
 
 
On NSE, 162 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 13 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows. In sectoral indices, Nifty Media and Nifty Auto were among the biggest gainers. Nifty Pharma, Nifty FMCG and Nifty Metal were among the biggest losers. 
 
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (+1.42%) launched a new product ‘GrandArt Hob’ in built-in hob category. The said product has been launched on June 11, 2024 and will cater to domestic market.
 
Tata Technologies (+0.31%) has deployed SAP S/4 HANA, for Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd for digital transformation. The project also included incorporating digital signatures, and configuring document management system servers.
 
Dredging Corporation of India (DCIL) (+7.66%) bagged contract worth Rs2015.88 crore from Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority (SMPA) for maintenance Dredging in the Hooghly Estuary primarily in the shipping channel leading to Haldia Dock.
 
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a search at PNC Infratech’s Corporate office (-7.98%), situated at Agra, Registered Office situated at New Delhi and other offices of the Company.
 
NBCC (India) (+9.53%) received total orders worth Rs878.17 crore. Out of the total, the order worth Rs700 crore has been received from Kochi Metro Rail for Development of 17.4 Acres (5 Contiguous land parcels) located in Kakkanad Ernakulam District Kochi & Coine Bliss City.
 
Capacite Infraprojects (+1.68%) received approval for the issuance of up-to 1000 secured, unrated, unlisted, redeemable Non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of a face value of Rs10,00,000 (Debentures) each, aggregating to up to Rs100 crore in one or more tranches on private placement basis.
 
RailTel Corporation of India (+9.13%) has received the work order from Ministry Of Defence for creation worth  Rs11.23 cror. The order is to be executed by June 04, 2025.
 
Persistent Systems (-0.31%) has entered into long-term strategic partnership agreement with Google Cloud for expanded reach across the US, India, UK, and Australia.
 
Suzlon Group (+1.79%) has won new order for the development of 103.95 MW wind power project for AMPIN Energy Transition. Suzlon will install 33 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each at the client’s site in the Fatehgarh district in Rajasthan.
 
NLC India (NLCIL) (+1.44%) has received in-principle approval to invest up to Rs994.50 crore, in one or more tranches in NLC India Renewables (NIRL), Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Company by way of subscribing the Equity Shares at face value subject to the necessary approvals of DIPAM.
 
Transformers & Rectifiers (India) (+4.99%) launched a qualified institution placement to raise Rs500 crore. The floor price of the issue is Rs699.9 per share.
