Nifty, Sensex Continue to Remain Bullish - Thursday Closing Report

On Thursday, 2011 stocks advanced, 1740 declined and 123 remained unchanged, with an advance decline ratio of 1.15 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), indicating positive closing of stocks in broader markets. The trend of the major indices on Thursday’s trading is given in the table below
 
 
On NSE, 70 securities advanced and closed at a new 52-week high whereas 18 securities sank to close at their new 52-week lows.  In sectoral indices, with Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty FMCG were among the biggest losers. Nifty IT Pharma, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Pharma were among the biggest gainers.
 
IndiGo's (+0.94%) market share has dipped to 62.6% from 63.4% in October from the previous month, according to viation data released by the DGCA India.
 
Shilpa Medicare (-3.37%) acquired Pilnova Pharma Inc in the US.
 
Ashok Leyland (-0.20%) announced its plans to strengthen its LCV presence in Eastern India with a focus on West Bengal.
