FMCG company Dabur India Ltd said its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September increased 15.4% to Rs160 crore from Rs139 crore in the same quarter last year.
Its consolidated net sales were gained 14.7% to Rs973 crore from Rs848 crore, the company said in a statement.
During the September 2010 quarter, Dabur India's standalone net profit increased 1.4% at Rs126.2 crore compared to Rs124.4 crore while its total revenues increased 13.3% to Rs807.2 crore from Rs712.5 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company declared an interim dividend of 50% or 50 paisa per share.
On Thursday, Dabur shares ended 1.3% down at Rs103 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the benchmark Sensex declined 1.1% to 20,005 points.
