India's daily COVID tally drops below 10,000 in past 24 hours

India's daily Covid cases on Monday dropped below 10,000 for the first time since the beginning of third-wave and recorded 8,013 fresh infections in a span of 24 hours.

A total of 119 new Covid related deaths have also been reported in the same period, taking the death toll to 5,13,843, the Union health ministry said on Monday morning.

On Sunday, the country had recorded 10,273 fresh Covid cases and 243 deaths.

Meanwhile, the active Covid cases have further reduced to 1,02,601 which constitute 0.24 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 16,765 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,23,07,686. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.56 per cent, said the Union Health Ministry.

Also in the same period, a total of 7,23,828 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 76.74 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.17 per cent while daily positivity rate has risen to 1.11 per cent.

With the administration of nearly 5 lakh Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage has reached 177.50 crore as of Monday morning. This has been achieved through 2,03,49,590 sessions.

More than 12.89 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories to be administered, according to the health ministry as of Monday morning.
 
India logs 14,148 fresh COVID-19 cases, 302 deaths in past 24 hours

India reported 14,148 fresh Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday morning.

A total of 302 new Covid-related fatalities were also recorded in the same time span taking the death toll to 5,12,622.

Meanwhile, the active Covid cases have reduced to 1,48,359 which constitute 0.35 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 30,009 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,22,19,896. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.46 per cent, said the Ministry.

Also in the same period, a total of 11,55,147 tests were carried out across the country. India has so far conducted over 76.35 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.60 per cent while daily positivity rate has risen to 1.22 per cent.

With the administration of over 30.49 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage has reached 176.52 crore as of this morning. This has been achieved through 2,01,49,530 sessions.

More than 10.79 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with the states and UTs, according to the ministry.
 
India reports 13,405 fresh COVID-19 cases, 235 deaths in past 24 hours

India on Tuesday reported a further decline in fresh Covid infections with 13,405 cases and 235 fatalities in the past 24 hours.

With 235 Covid-related deaths, the toll has mounted to 5,12,344, the Union Health Ministry said.

The active cases have also reduced to 1,81,075 which constitute 0.42 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

A total of 34,226 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours pushing the cumulative tally to 4,21,58,510. Consequently, the country's recovery rate stands at 98.38 per cent, said the Ministry.

Also in the same period, a total of 10,84,247 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 76.12 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.98 per cent, while the daily positivity rate has risen to 1.24 per cent.

With the administration of over 35.50 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage has touched 175.83 crore as of Tuesday morning. This has been achieved through 2,00,25,470 sessions.

India records 16,051 new COVID cases, 206 deaths in past 24 hours

India reported a further decline in the new COVID-19 cases on Monday. In a span of 24 hours, 16,051 new infections and 206 deaths were registered, the Union health ministry said.

India had logged 19,968 new COVID cases and 673 deaths on Sunday, and on Saturday a total of 22,270 new cases were reported.

The new fatalities increased the death toll to 5,12,109 in the country.

The active COVID cases have reduced to 2,01,131, which constitutes 0.47 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 37,901 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,21,24,284. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.33 per cent, said the Union Health Ministry.

Also in the same period, a total of 8,31,087 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 76.01 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2.12 per cent while daily positivity rate has risen to 1.93 per cent.

With the administration of over seven lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's COVID inoculation coverage has reached 175.46 crore as of Sunday morning. This has been achieved through 1,98,99,635 sessions.

India reports 16% decline, logs 25,920 new COVID cases in past 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, India registered 25,920 new Covid-19 cases, marking a 16 per cent decline, said the Union Health Ministry on Friday.

Also in the same time span, 492 additional fatalities were reported which increased the overall death toll to 5,10,905.

Meanwhile, the active Covid caseload has reduced to 2,92,092, accounting for 0.68 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 66,254 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,19,77,238. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.12 per cent, the Ministry said.

Also in the same period, a total of 12,54,893 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total to 75.68 crore.

While the weekly positivity rate currently stood at 2.76 per cent, the daily positivity rate increased to 2.07 per cent.

With the administration of over 37.86 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage reached 174.64 crore as of Friday morning. This has been achieved through 1,97,37,397 sessions.

India records 30,615 new COVID cases, 514 deaths in past 24 hours

India reported 30,615 fresh Covid infections in a span of 24 hours, a marginal rise from 27,409 cases reported on the previous day, said the Union Health ministry on Wednesday morning.

A total of 514 deaths were registered in the 24 hour span, taking the toll to 5,09,872.

The active Covid cases have reduced to 3,70,240, which constitutes 0.87 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 82,988 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,18,43,446. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 97.94 per cent, said the Union Health Ministry.

Also in the same period, a total of 12,51,677 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 75.42 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 3.32 per cent while the daily positivity rate has risen to 2.45 per cent.

With the administration of over 41 lakhs vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage has reached 173.86 crore as of Wednesday morning.

India reports 13% dip in new COVID cases in past 24 hours

India reported 58,077 fresh Covid infections in a span of 24 hours on Friday, which is around 13 per cent lower than those reported on previous day.

On Thursday, the country had seen 67,084 new Covid cases.

In the last 24 hours, a total 657 deaths were reported, taking the toll to 5,07,177, said the Union Health ministry on Friday morning.

The active Covid case has been reduced to 6,97,802, which constitutes 1.64 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 1,50,407 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,13,31,158. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 97.17 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 14,91,678 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 74.78 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 5.76 per cent while daily positivity rate has fallen to 3.89 per cent.

With the administration of over 48 lakhs vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage has reached 171.79 crore as of Friday morning.

India reported 67,084 fresh Covid infections, a marginal decline from 71,365 Covid cases reported the previous day.

In the same time span, a total of 1241 deaths were reported, taking the death toll to 5,06,520, said the Union Health Ministry on Thursday morning.

The active Covid case has reduced to 7,90,789, which constitute 1.86 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 1,67,882 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,11,80,751. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 96.95 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 15,11,321 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 74.61 crore cumulative tests.

India reported 71,365 fresh Covid infections in a span of 24 hours, a rise of around 6 per cent against 67,597 cases reported on the previous day, said the Union health ministry on Wednesday morning.

A total of 1,217 deaths were also reported in the 24 hours, taking the death toll to 5,05,279

The active Covid cases have reduced to 8,92,828, which constitute 2.11 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 1,72,211 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,10,12,869. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 96.70 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 15,71,726 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 74.46 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 7.57 per cent while daily positivity rate has fallen to 4.54 per cent.

At 67,597, India reports 19% decline in new COVID cases

India on Tuesday reported 67,597 fresh Covid cases in a span of 24 hours, a considerable decline of 19 per cent against 83,876 cases reported on the previous day.

A total of 1,188 deaths were registered in 24 hours, taking the death toll to 5,04,062, said the Union Health ministry on Tuesday morning.

The active Covid cases now stand at 9,94,891, which constitute 2.35 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 1,80,456 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,08,40,658. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 96.46 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 13,46,534 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 74.29 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 8.30 per cent while daily positivity rate has fallen to 5.02 per cent.

With the administration of over 55.78 lakhs vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage has reached 170.21 crore as of Tuesday morning.

India's single-day Covid cases dropped below one lakh, reporting 83,876 new infections in a span of 24 hours on Monday. In the time span, 895 deaths were reported, taking the death toll to 5,02,874, said the Union Health ministry on Monday morning.

The active Covid cases now stand at 11,08,938, which constitute 2.62 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 1,99,054 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 4,06,60,202. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 96.19 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 11,56,363 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 74.15 crore cumulative tests.

Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 9.18 per cent while daily positivity rate has fallen to 7.25 per cent.

India's new COVID cases rise 6.8% to 1.67 lakh in past 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, India registered a 6.8 per cent rise in new Covid-19 cases with 1,72,433 infections, said the Union Health Ministry on Thursday.

In the same period, there were 1,008 additional Covid fatalities, which took the nationwide death toll to 4,98,983.

Meanwhile, the active caseload has reported a marginal decline at 15,33,921 which constitute 3.67 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The recovery of 2,59,107 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,97,70,414. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 95.41 per cent.

During the same time period, a total of 15,69,449 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total to 73.41 crore.

While, the weekly positivity rate stood at 12.98 per cent, the daily positivity rate climbed to 10.99 per cent.

With more than 55 lakh vaccine doses being administered in the last 24 hours, India's Covid inoculation coverage reached 167.87 crore as of Thursday morning.

At 1.61 lakh, India's COVID cases down by 3.4% in past 24 hours

India on Wednesday reported 1,61,386 new cases in the last 24 hours, 3.4 per cent lower than a before of 1,67,059 cases.
 
In the same time span, as many as 1,733 deaths were also reported as Kerala added a backlog of 1,063 fatalities which were included in day's count, taking the death toll to 4,97,975.
 
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 51,887 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 16,096 cases, Maharashtra with 14,372 cases, Karnataka with 14,366 cases and Gujarat with 8,338 cases.
 
Meanwhile, the active caseload has reported a marginal decline at 16,21,603 which constitute 3.90 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
 
The recovery of 2,81,109 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,95,11,307. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 94.91 per cent.
 
Also in the same period, a total of 17,42,793 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 73.24 crore cumulative tests.
 
Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 14.15 per cent while daily positivity rate has come down to 9.26 per cent., below 10 per cent from 11.6 per cent.
