India logs 18,987 new COVID cases, 246 deaths in past 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, India reported 18,987 fresh Covid-19 cases and 246 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.

According to the Ministry, the new fatalities increased the overall death toll to 4,51,435.

The recovery of 19,808 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,33,62,709.

Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.07 per cent, currently at its highest peak since March 2020.

The active caseload is presently 2,06,586, which is the lowest in 215 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.61 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The testing capacity across the country continues to expand. The last 24 hours saw a total of 13,01,083 tests being conducted.

India has so far conducted 58,76,64,525 cumulative tests.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positive at 1.44 per cent has remained less than 3 per cent for the last 111 days now.

The daily positivity rate stands at 1.46 per cent -- it has remained below 3 per cent for last 45 days and below 5 per cent for 128 consecutive days now.

With the administration of 35,66,347 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 96.82 crore as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Thursday. This has been achieved through 94,82,108 sessions.

More than 98.88 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far via the Centre and through direct state procurement category.

More than 8.89 crore balance and unutilised vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered, the Health Ministry added.

India on Wednesday reported 15,823 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Total 226 deaths have also been reported in the same time span, pushing the death toll at 4,51,189, the Union Health Ministry said.

The recovery of 22,844 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,33,42,901. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.06 per cent, currently at its highest peak since March 2020.

The active caseload is presently 2,07,653, which is the lowest in 214 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.61 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 13,25,399 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 58.63 crore cumulative tests. While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate at 1.46 per cent remains less than 3 per cent for the last 110 days now. The daily positivity rate is reported to be 1.19 per cent. The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for the last 44 days and below 5 per cent for 127 consecutive days now.

With the administration of 50,63,845 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 96.43 crore as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Wednesday. This has been achieved through 94,26,400 sessions.

More than 8.43 cr balance and unutilized Covid vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, as per the health ministry report.

India on Tuesday recorded 14,313 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest in the past 224 days, the Union Health Ministry said.

With 181 fatalities in the same time span, the death toll climbed to 4,50,963.

With 26,579 patients getting cured of the contagion in the last 24 hours, the cumulative tally of recovered patients increased to 3,33,20,057.

Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.04 per cent which is currently at its highest peak since March 2020.

The active caseload is presently 2,14,900, which is the lowest in 212 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.63 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

While the testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate is 1.48 per cent, which has remained less than 3 per cent for the last 109 days now. The daily positivity rate was 1.21 per cent.

The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for last 43 days and below 5 per cent for 126 consecutive days now, as per the data from Health Ministry.

The last 24 hours also saw a total of 11,81,766 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 58.50 crore cumulative tests.

With the administration of 65,86,092 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 95.89 crore as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Tuesday. This has been achieved through 93,66,392 sessions.

More than 8.22 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.

India on Monday reported 18,132 fresh Covid cases, the lowest single-day infections in the last 215 days, and 193 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said.

The new fatalities have increased the overall death toll to 4,50,782.

The recovery of 21,563 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,32,93,478.

India's recovery rate currently stands at 98 per cent, the highest since March 2020.

Meanwhile, the active caseload is 2,27,347, the lowest in 209 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.67 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

While the testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate at 1.53 per cent has remained less than 3 per cent for the last 108 days now.

The daily positivity rate was reported to be 1.75 per cent. It has also remained below 3 per cent for the last 42 days and below 5 per cent for 125 consecutive days now.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 10,35,797 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 58.36 crore cumulative tests.

With the administration of 46,57,679 vaccine doses also in the same period, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 95 crore landmark as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. Monday. This has been achieved through 92,57,689 sessions.

More than 96.75 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through the Centre and direct state procurement category.

India on Saturday reported 19,740 fresh Covid cases and 248 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said.

The recovery of 23,070 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,32,48,291.

Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 97.98 per cent, the highest since March 2020.

The active caseload is presently at 2,36,643, which is the lowest in 206 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.70 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

Meanwhile, the fresh deaths have taken the toll to 4,50,375, as per the Health Ministry data.

The weekly positivity rate, at 1.62 per cent, remains less than 3 per cent for the last 106 days now, while the daily positivity rate is 1.56 per cent, having remained below 3 per cent for the last 40 days and below 5 per cent for 123 consecutive days now.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,69,291 tests being conducted, taking the cumulative total to over 58 crore tests.

With 79,12,202 vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage nears 94 crore mark as per provisional report till 7 a.m. on Saturday. This has been achieved through 91,40,316 sessions.

Over 95.51 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through the Centre as well as the direct state procurement category. However, more than 8.51 cr unutilised vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered, the Health Ministry data said.
 
India sees daily COVID tally rise to 22,431, 318 deaths during past 24 hours

India on Thursday reported 22,431 fresh Covid cases and 318 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said.

A total of 24,602 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recoveries to 3,32,00,258. India's recovery rate stands at 97.95 per cent - the highest since March 2020.

The active caseload is presently 2,44,198, which is the lowest in 204 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.72 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

Meanwhile, the fresh deaths have taken the toll to 4,49,856, as per the Health Ministry data.

The weekly positivity rate, at 1.68 per cent, remains less than 3 per cent for the last 104 days now, while the daily positivity rate is 1.57 per cent, having remained below 3 per cent for last 38 days and below 5 per cent for 121 consecutive days now.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 14,31,819 tests being conducted, taking the cumulative total to over 57.86 crore.

With 43,09,525 vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 92.63 crore mark as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Thursday. This has been achieved through 90,14,182 sessions.

Over 93.94 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through the Centre as well as the direct state procurement category. However, more than 7.64 cr unutilised vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered, the Health Ministry data said.

India on Wednesday reported 18,333 fresh Covid cases and 278 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said.

A total of 24,770 patients also recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recoveries to 3,31,75,656. India's recovery rate stands at 97.94 per cent - the highest since March 2020.

Active caseload is presently 2,46,687, which is the lowest in 203 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.73 per cent of the country's total cases.

Meanwhile, the fresh deaths have taken the toll to 4,49,538, as per the Health Ministry data.

The weekly positivity rate, at 1.68 per cent, remains less than 3 per cent for the last 103 days now, while the daily positivity rate is 1.34 per cent, having remained below 3 per cent for last 37 days and below 5 per cent for 120 consecutive days now.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 14,09,825 tests being conducted, taking the cumulative total to over 57.68 crore.

With 59,48,360 vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 92 crore mark as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Wednesday. This has been achieved through 89,35,354 sessions.

Over 92.57 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through the Centre as well as the direct state procurement category. However, more than 6.93 cr unutilised vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered, the health ministry data said.
 
India records 20,799 fresh COVID cases, 180 deaths in past 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, India reported a total of 20,799 fresh Covid-19 cases, as well as 180 deaths, according to the latest report issued by the Union Health Ministry on Monday.

The new fatalities pushed the overall death toll to 4,48,997, the report said.

The recovery of 26,718 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,31,21,247.

Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 97.89 per cent, the highest since March 2020.

Meanwhile, the country's active caseload is 2,64,458, which is the lowest in 200 days.

Active cases presently constitute 0.78 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

Also in the last 24 hours, a total of 9,91,676 tests were conducted, pushing the overall number to 57,42,52,400.

While the testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate at 1.63 per cent remained less than 3 per cent for the last 101 days now.

The daily positivity rate was 2.10 per cent after remaining below 3 per cent for the last 35 days and below 5 per cent for 118 consecutive days now.

With the administration of 23,46,176 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid vaccination coverage has crossed the landmark of 90 crore as per provisional reports till 7 a.m. on Monday.

More than 89.89 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt of India and through direct state procurement category.

Over 5.67 crore unutilised vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered. the Health Ministry report added.

India on Friday reported 26,727 fresh Covid-19 cases and 277 deaths in the last 24 hr, according to the lated health bulletin issued by the Union Health Ministry.
 
With the latest fatalities, the country's overall death toll now stands at 4,48,339.
 
Meanwhile, the active cases saw a decline in the last 24 hours with of total 1,796 infections, taking the total active caseload to 2,75,224 which accounts for less than of 1 per cent of total Covid cases of India, as per the Union Health Ministry updates.
 
The total active cases in India is 0.82 per cent of the total cases which is the lowest in the last 196 days.
 
India's recovery rate from the ongoing pandemic currently stands at 97.86 per cent which is highest since March 2020.
 
According to the health bulletin, the number of daily recoveries have also increased. The recovery of 28,246 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,30,43,144.
 
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 15,20,899 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted 57,04,77,338 cumulative tests.
 
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate at 1.70 per cent remained less than 3 per cent for the last 98 days now, while the daily positivity rate was reported to be 1.76 per cent.
 
The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for last 32 days and below 5 per cent for 115 consecutive days.
 
With the administration of 64,40,451 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's overall Covid inoculation coverage has reached 89,02,08,007, as per provisional reports as of 7 a.m. on Friday.
 
This feat was achieved through 86,46,674 sessions.
