The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has issued a fresh investor advisory cautioning the public against individuals and entities allegedly offering stock market tips, guaranteed returns and account-handling services through social media platforms, activities that are not permitted under securities market regulations.
In
one advisory, NSE says it has been informed about an individual operating through mobile number 8003629549, a YouTube channel named ‘Mehta is Back’ and a Telegram channel called ‘Art of Trading’. According to the Exchange, the person is allegedly providing securities market recommendations, promising assured or guaranteed returns on investments in the stock market and offering account management services to investors.
The YouTube channel ‘Mehta is Back’ is accessible through the link

In a
separate advisory, the Exchange has flagged a person identified as Bishal, who claims to be associated with an entity named ‘Index Fund’. NSE says the individual is operating through mobile number 8974738447 and a YouTube channel named ‘INDEX FUND’.
According to the Exchange, Bishal is allegedly offering assured or guaranteed returns from stock market investments and account-handling services to investors. Such promises of fixed or guaranteed profits from securities market activities are often used to attract unsuspecting investors and may expose them to significant financial risks.
The YouTube channel linked to the alleged activity is available at
https://www.youtube.com/@bishalgamer1470. NSE has clarified that investors should independently verify the credentials and registration status of any person or entity offering investment-related services before transferring funds or sharing trading account access.
NSE has cautioned investors not to subscribe to any scheme or product that promises indicative, assured or guaranteed returns in the stock market, noting that such offerings are prohibited under the law. The Exchange has also warned investors against sharing trading credentials, including user IDs and passwords, with any third party.
Importantly, NSE clarified that neither the individuals nor the entities named in the advisories are registered members of the Exchange, nor are they authorised persons associated with any registered NSE member. Investors have been urged to verify the credentials of brokers and authorised persons through NSE's ‘Know/Locate Your Stock Broker’ facility before engaging with any market intermediary.
The Exchange further highlighted that participation in such unauthorised schemes is entirely at the investor's own risk. Any losses arising from dealings with such entities may not be eligible for protection under NSE's investor protection framework. Investors involved in such schemes may also be denied access to the Exchange's dispute resolution and grievance redressal mechanisms.
The latest advisories come amid growing concerns over the misuse of social media platforms, messaging applications and online channels by unregistered operators seeking to attract retail investors with unrealistic return promises.
Market regulators and exchanges have repeatedly warned investors that guaranteed returns in the securities market are a red flag and that they should deal only with duly registered intermediaries.
Investors are advised to exercise caution, verify registration details before transferring funds and avoid schemes that promise quick or assured profits in the stock market.
