Amul: Delhi HC Asks Customer to Remove X Post Claiming Centipede in Ice Cream Tub
Moneylife Digital Team 05 July 2024
The Delhi High Court has directed Deepa Devi, a Noida resident, to remove her social media posts that alleged she found a centipede in a tub of Amul ice cream bought by her.

While hearing a lawsuit filed by Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), justice Manmeet PS Arora also restrained the customer from posting and uploading any other identical or similar content on social media platforms until further orders.

In a post on the social media platform 'X' on 15 June 2024, Deepa Devi shared a picture purportedly showing a centipede inside her Amul ice cream tub that she ordered through instant delivery app Blinkit.

The Consumer Deepa Devi REFUSED to even share the sample for INVESTIGATION smells of some ulterior motives (to harm AMUL Brand image or to earn some Money as damages). Good decision by Courts ??

Gujarat has become the epicenter of all malpractices and negligence. Sad, it has reached Amul too.
